New Logo for Stashabit

So I have been trying to come up with a new logo for Stashabit....

What do you all think?
I wanted to keep it plain and simple...let the mind wonder when it sees the image...

should I had any color or leave it?

Well, it is Monday once again. I open on Mondays now so I have to be there at 6:30am which isn't so bad on weekends we are in town, but man....weekends we travel and get back later on Sunday, those Mondays could use a helping hand throughout the day.

Since I get off earlier than normal today and it will most likely storm I will be finishing up the coffee table we (mostly Ryan) made yesterday out of pallets! Yay I am so excited :) We are trying to come up with a creative way to make the top interchangeable or reservable so that we are still working on, otherwise it is just about done! I will post pictures of the making in process after this post.

I will also be cleaning out my craft area and closet. I have slowly been working on this day by day. I am wonderful at hoarding things as I think I can....well I know I can but that I will actually make the time to turn whatever it is into something else....I don't always make the time or get to it so than I have random, very random objects taking up our limited space we have....needless to say I am getting rid of a heap of things!

Once I get all of that done, I will be posting to Stashabit (Etsy) for the first time in a while it feels like...I have some new(er) signs that have not been posted....I will also be posting pictures of some jewelry that I have not posted on Stashabit (Etsy) since I will soon be taking it all done...let me know if you see anything you are interested before it is all sold out locally.

I have a new idea that I do not believe I have shared with you just yet..... and as much as I really would like to share it, I also do not want other taking my idea before I can get it up and going so with that said you will just have to keep reading and checking my site Stashabit to find out what it is!

As far as family and friend followers, we are doing well...seem to keep ourselves very very busy with hobbies, moving, learning spanish. Hope all of you are doing well- we love and miss you all heaps! 

We are trying to keep low key for a while to save a bit since we have a big trip planned for next March to Budapest, Vienna and Prague! ...but of course we do have a few smaller trips in between to keep us busy...

The Distance

Distance between family and friends can be hard sometimes...the days where you are busy or doing new and exciting things are not so bad BUT somedays well it just sucks some major ________!
We live in Minneapolis, MN and Ryan's family lives pretty close for the most part. My family lives down in FL where I am from and I have 4 siblings there, one out in New Jersey. I am the oldest and somedays it is tough to see pictures of them at their games, events or whatever they are all doing together....same goes for with my two best girl friends that also live down there. Here I don't have too many which is fine since I have those two down there (and nothing against the ones I have here!) but it sucks only being able to group text about things and facetime or skye when others get to go have and actual girls night or just drive over whenever needed....

All this comes with my love of traveling and desire for adventure. I met my husband because of those things as well so its a bit of a give and take...you learn quickly you can't have everything BUT I make the most of what I do have.

Well, I am out- it is fricken gorgeous out finally! pretty much a year of shit weather and now straight sun! We are going for our run and then to the "beach" aka Lake Calhoun. Stashabit post coming later. I drew a new logo and have some fun new ideas! 

Well Florida went well....

Although we arrived during a tropical storm we had such a great long weekend. Too many stories to tell now but let's just say it was a success! Also I came up with many new ideas for my site  but ill mention those later

Fading away from jewelry....

So after much consideration I have decided that I will be fading away from jewelry on stashabit and only selling it locally. I sold my jewelry last year at Minnetonka Apple Orchards during apple season and it went really well so hopefully this year it will go just as well. It gets a lots of views on stashabit and sels to people I know or people they know but isn't what is going to make my site stand out!  I will always be willing to make jewelry items if contacted or receive a custom request. 

This change will be happening at the start of Apple Orchard season! Keep an eye out! If there's anything our interested in get it now before its no longer there! 

Airports round 3

Well we are in our 3rd airport for the day. Hanging out in Tampa international now just waiting for my mom to arrive...

So we caught the flight to Miami since the Chicago one was booked... Arrives in Mia and we got to see my dad ...for all of ten minutes when he got us on the next flight to Tampa! Yay for us except little did we know (this always happens to us) there's a lovely tropical storm hitting Florida at the moment. So lets say the flight ...the suppose to be 40 min flight turned into a long bumpy journey! We both had to pre something awful and were beyond hungry at this point. We land to find out that the weather was so bad that my mom didn't even leave yet, tornado warnings around....oh did I mention her phone was dying when she left? It's been well over an hour since we spoke with her and no sound of her yet :/ let's hope she's here trying to find us :) 

I'd spend the time waiting posting to my shop but I didn't being my flash drive with everything on it :) fail. 

Also!!! New tattoo idea and stashabit ideas- plane rides are great for blasting though ideas! 

Idea one- coffee mug ... Duh! I absolutely love coffee!! 

Idea two- tote bags with fun sayings and print ....

Airports

Well it's another early morning of just hanging out in the airport. That's what happens when you fly stand by .... 

Flights full and this morning has been pretty rocky, one thing after another but hey now I get to go to Miami and seen dad! He works at Miami international airport so guess something's just work in mysterious ways. 

No etsy posting this weekend, taking the time to be with missed family and friends can't wait to be there and ill keep my fingers crossed for some sunshine! 

Only one large cup so far today... Plane coffee here I come!!! 

Ps. People watching in airports rocks! They should sell footage of just people in airports all over the world.

Really Florida ?? Come on now ...

So lets just say I'm not too thrilled about this ....

I am heading to Florida as of 6am tomorrow to surprise some of the family and join some girlfriends for fun wedding festivities. I live in Minneapolis where the weather has well been shit for the past ... Year almost now and just would like some sunshine! I am paler than a ghost.... Too bad it's not Halloween :/ 

During my nine cups of coffee...

So today I started day one of blogging during my morning nine cups of coffee....and while Ryan (my husband) watched himself brushed his teeth...

Stashabit is my Etsy site that is full of all original, handmade, sometimes custom and always unique items. After much thought I have decided to start a blog to track my creative thoughts and ideas along with allowing my family to keep tabs on me :) 

With summer hopefully one day arriving to MN lake cabins are at full use! If you like fun, unique lake signs be sure to check out my site or contact me, I love making custom signs for people! Also, curtains....burlap and ombre curtains can be custom ordered and spice up any living area. 

Well...time to refill the coffee. I will begin to post ideas, projects I am working on, finished items along with our travels.
